AGENDA

1.   Call to order and approval of minutes of November 11, and December 9, 2009, and January 13, 2010 meetings.

2.   Public comment on non-agenda items and public announcements within the purview of the committee.

3. Presentation by CicLavia, which proposes to close certain streets in Los Angeles, including Los Feliz, to vehicular traffic and to reserve those streets for pedestrians and bicyclists.

4.  4420 Sunset Drive. Proposed property line adjustment to reduce the total square footage of one parcel from 8,928 to 2,924.

5.  4628 Hollywood Boulevard. Proposed 47 seat beer and wine bar.

6.  2081 Hillhurst Avenue, California Roll & Sushi. Proposed addition of patio area.

7. Consideration of request to Planning Department to include in its report on the effect of the granting of density bonuses under S.B. 1818 a discussion of the consequential destruction of existing affordable housing.  See Council File 09-0966.

8.  Consideration of statement of policies and procedures for committee.   

9. Report on possible new group to advocate for Hollywood.

10.  Continued review of proposed revised Hollywood Community Plan  (including unusual meeting of Department of Planning and City Planning Commission on January 21.)

11. Report on off-site signs (“billboards”).

NOTE: Most matters have background information on the Committee’s page on www.ggpnc.org. Action may be taken by the committee on all matters with bold face topics.
Matters may be taken up in an order different than listed above. The attendees at this meeting may include at least a quorum of the Board of GGPNC, and therefore for Brown Act purposes this is also noticed as a meeting of the Board of GGPNC. However, no action will be taken at this meeting as a Board but only as a committee, which reports to the Board.       

AGENDAS & PUBLIC COMMENT:  Agendas are posted for public review on the Council’s website, the Community Police Center at 1965 Hillhurst Avenue, the Public Library, Los Feliz Branch at 1874 Hillhurst Avenue, the Los Feliz Post Office at 1825 N. To address the Committee, the public is requested to fill out a ‘Speaker Card’ on any agenda item prior to the Committee’s taking action on it.  Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard only at the time the respective item is being considered.  Comments from the public on matters not appearing on this Agenda within the Committee’s subject matter jurisdiction are heard during the Public Comment period, limited to 2 minutes per speaker, unless waived by the Committee’s chair.

PROCESS FOR RECONSIDERATION: The Committee may reconsider and amend its action on items listed here if that reconsideration takes place immediately following the original action, or at the next regular meeting. The Committee, on either of these two days, shall: 1) Make a Motion for reconsideration and, if approved, 2) hear the matter and take an action.  If the motion to reconsider an action is to be scheduled at the next meeting following the original action, then two items shall be placed on the agenda for that meeting: 1) A Motion for Reconsideration on the described matter and 2) a [Proposed] Action should the motion to reconsider be approved.  A motion for reconsideration can only be made by a Committee member who has previously voted on the prevailing side of the original action taken.  If a motion for reconsideration is not made on the date the action was taken, then a Committee member on the prevailing side of the action must submit a memorandum to the chair identifying the matter to be reconsidered and a brief description of the reason(s) for requesting reconsideration at the next regular meeting.  The aforesaid shall all be in compliance with the Ralph M. Brown Act governing public entities.
