Election
Dear Stella:
One of the GGPNC candidates is again contacting my employer concerning
my Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council election challenge,
indicating that he and possibly others believe that my employer is somehow
involved in my individual challenge. This challenge was filed only in my
individual capacity, and has nothing to do with the California Office of the
Attorney General.
It has come to my attention that my office signature indicating my
employment was inadvertently attached to one of my emails to you, and I regret
any confusion or inference that may have caused. I would like to again clarify
for all that the challenge was filed in my individual capacity only, and has
nothing to do with the California Office of the Attorney General, who has no
stake in this matter, takes absolutely no position in this matter, and will
exercise no influence in this matter.
Because of the multiple calls being received, I would greatly apprecite
it if you could immediately post this email on the City's election website in
which any emails on this topic are posted and forward to anyone who you believe
may be interested in this information.
By copy of this email, I am also requesting that the Greater Griffith Park
Neighborhood Council post this email on its website.
Again my apologies for the inconvenience.
Cheryl Johnson

Stella-
Thank you.
Wouldn’t the correct
procedure be for current election challenge be OFFICIALLY WITHDRAWN and re-filed
as a challenge of behalf of an individual stakeholder? Also, I concur with
Cheryl Johnson this updated information should be immediately REPUBLISHED on the
L.A. City Clerk’s website so the public is advised that this IS NOT A DOJ
CHALLENGE. I believe this detail to be of vital importance, as numerous
stakeholders, members of the media, and ordinary citizens still believe that the
challenge is filed under the auspices of the California Department of
Justice.
All best, and thanks again.
Humbly.
